Autism Awareness Is Hard Work!

When I saw my friend from twitter asking Ellen DeGeneres to do another show about Autism and Asperger's awareness, I jumped on the idea with her!  Of course!  Ask someone we love and who we know cares to help us spread awareness!  I didn't really think it would get very far, but hey, I'd rather do something than nothing. 


Soon, people started to re-tweet our request to Ellen to do a show.  That's when I thought: Hey, she's onto something!  This could truly work, but EVERYONE needs to be in it together.


Day one went well.  Day two a little less, and by the time we were at day seventeen, things started looking grim.  Only a few WONDERFUL tweeters were re-tweeting, and we still have had no response.  Both my friend and I have started to get really depressed and wonder if this will ever happen.  She has put money into the campaign, I have put as much time and effort into it as I can, since I can't afford much advertising. 


It's now day eighteen of our thirty day campaign.  It's March 25, 2012.  What I am now asking is for anyone to please help us.  WE are NOT trying to get onto the show.  What we are asking at this point is for any show host to do an entire show on Autism and Asperger's.

My name is Alanna and I?m really interested in doing a documentary on Aspergers to raise awareness. I know it may not be a live TV show, but I love making documentary films and really want to use my experience to help in anyway I can. I?m not entirely sure when or where, but I want to make this happen and I have a decent amount of film experience to make this dream become reality. My goal is for this to be an eye opening film for everyone and to be a platform for people with aspergers to really express their opinions and the challenges they face.
