Doing The Right Thing

Posted by Admin on August 8, 2012 at 10:30 AM

I just love those times that can bring you to tears because someone did the right thing.  I don't just mean following rules or laws.  I mean going out of the way to do something that is right.  I don't tend to see them as often as I'd like, but when I do, it just makes me SO happy.  Here are some examples:

Someone returning a lost check to its address with information about where it was found, but not saying who THEY are.  (You can't find them to thank them for the good deed.)

Someone picking up a piece of trash after a million people have walked by it.

Someone who stops by a homeless person lying in the middle of the room to make sure they are okay, and then giving them a bit of cash and telling them to move to a safer spot.

Someone who drives by a lemonade stand, and then when they hear that it's for a fund raiser, they back up their car and tell you to keep the change.

These are the kinds of moments that I absolutely love.  It shows that there is still good in the world.  It gives me hope.

And yes, these are all real-life examples.
