Art

I've been a little depressed lately, so I decided to try and do some art to let out the emotions.  The first piece I did was probably the most personal.  I call it "Meltdown", and it's supposed to represent the results of meltdowns that I've had through out my life.

There are scribbles, a crumpled up and ripped piece of paper, string (to represent hair), a torn piece of cloth, and broken items among other things.

I know that it looks like a huge mess, as though a toddler could put this together, but when you look closely you will see that it's really precise in the way it's been made.  I think that part also represents that although I may seem to act like a child during my meltdowns, it's actually something that I still do today as an adult.  I've also learned through the years how to better handle my meltdowns so that these sort of things do not happen as a result....sometimes.  Another thought I'd like to add is how this may seem to represent a tantrum, but it is NOT a tantrum.  Meltdowns are different from tantrums.

Do you think that these meltdowns might be a PTSD from the bullying you were subjected to while you were in school? If so, you can take comfort in knowing that they will fade with time. 8 )

hey ; I am so sorry to hear about the meltdowns you are experiencing but could you help me and describe it better? what actually made you experience a meltdown? how did you feel at that time? did you feel like you were fighting against very hard emotions that you did not know how to express and why you had them? what were you thinking exactly ? did you feel that if you were to tell anyone about what you were feeling and what you had to say then no one would understand? Please help us understand more so we can all work together :)

Whenever I see or hear the word "Art" I think "Fart" so I guess, to me anyway, farts are art!
