Keeping Traditions

Posted by Admin on December 16, 2012 at 9:10 PM

I think my family is finally starting to understand my intense feeling I have for things needing to stay the same. With traditions in our family, I remember them down to a 'T'. My family is finally starting to realize how much I love it and how respected I feel when they ask me exactly how we do things because they forget these details. Things like: Who's stocking goes on which hook above the fireplace? Which Christmas CD do we listen to during which tradition? In which order do we open gifts? I know these details. And they are important to me because they give me a sense of stability and comfort. They help me to stay prepared and let me better deal with things.

I am male so I don't care for traditions nor celebrations, they annoy me. Although I do enjoy receiving gifts from people I love, the whole commercialism of it all has left a bad taste in my pallet.

My parents forgetfulness of certain things does annoy me though.
