Okay, 2012 was certainly an interesting year. Thankfully, it was mostly a good one for me. Here are just a few of the awesome things that happened:
My dog was able to sing "Happy Birthday" to me one more time.
I moved out of my parents' house.
I did SEVERAL big Autism presentations.
I was on TV twice talking about Autism.
I led a project about Autism (making the front page) in my local newspaper.
I spoke at the Walk Now for Autism Speaks in front of nearly 15,000 people.
I sold enough Autism Awareness Duct Tape bracelets that I made to be able to buy an iPad and case for others.
I got my hamster, Charlie.
I spoke to Temple Grandin.
The main negative things that happened this year (I'm limiting this list because I want to stay happy) would be:
My dog passed away.
The tragedy in Connecticut.
So to be honest, I'm MOSTLY happy with 2012. I can only hope that 2013 brings me at least the same amount of happiness. But I know that I don't do well looking really far ahead, so I'm going to take this year one day at a time. And yesterday didn't count because it was a holiday. I start my 2013 on January 2nd! (Unless of course this day goes badly...then we start over again.)
