Define Me

Posted by Admin on January 5, 2013 at 7:25 PM

I know that many people may disagree, but I actually don't mind being defined by my Aspergers. I enjoy it. I see it as a strength and something that makes me unique and amazing. What I mind is when people start negatively associating my Aspergers with my limitations, and then defining me by THEM. That's unfair, because we ALL have limitations. We also all have strengths, and without my Aspergers, my strengths would be very different.

Define me by my Aspergers, if you want to.  Define me by my artistic skills, my different way of seeing things, and my other unique talents.  I am not ashamed to have Aspergers.

Hi there. I'm currently in a relationship with my aspergers boyfriend. We are currently at an impasse. I'm curious if you've ever been to therapy and if so did it help with your personal relationships. My boyfriend is currently seeking a therapist, and I'm it the point where I don't where this relationship is leading. Any advice you have is very much appreciated!
