I'm am a 28 year old female with Aspergers, would also love to have someone to talk to. Lin MacMillan on Facebook (which I don't use much unless I see new inbox messages...Facebook still feels like being in public for me somehow), or email, or Skype.

Just came across your blog this morning; I love that there's finally a voice for female Asperger's! I myself am one as well, and the only literature I ever come across is male-orriented or written by a male...Aspergers simply isn't the same at all between the two genders.

I understand how truly frustrating it is to feel like you get nothing done some days; fighting who we are with the intent of being what we want to be, almost a sort of divided self. It's therapeutic for me just knowing there's others out there fighting the same fight, makes me feel less isolated.

Stay strong, every day is a new chance.

Have you heard about Grant Manier? He does amazing art and he has Asperger's Syndrome, but does amazing work in his Eco-Art, which is art he makes from ripped-up pieces of magazines, calendars, etc. and glued together in a picture. He sells the art as a business and goes to my school, which was made for kids and teens with ADHD, Asperger's SYndrome, autism, Tourette's Syndrome, etc. It's a small school, but there are two campuses, and I love it! I have Asperger's Syndrome myself, but I just wanted to let you know about Grant (geez, I love to type as much as I love to talk!). I also wrote a short "autobiography" on Wattpad called "The Owl Hawk: A True Story" and after I finished writing that a few months ago, I found your book on the iBookstore just yesterday and I'm glad I did.

just came across your blog whilst investigating our sensories - in particular "smell" (when I spoke to a farrier I had not seen or heard from in over 20 years - I could distinctly smell the waft of horses hooves being prepped to have a shoe put on as we chatted on the phone) like the memory of his voice, triggered this off. Your section on Taste.....yes, I too am like you, I quite often get to that lightheaded, feeling nauseaus - still unable to eat......when I do eat, I will think nothing of having exactly the same thing for days on end! Texture is important too - cant bare slimey, chewy, (as in gristle chewy) - i avoid meat altogether and have done since I was 10? before that age I would just leave it on my plate. (My doctor is presently trying to find someone to refer me to on the NH)

I have Aspergers. I just realized how much change in my schedule upsets me. I mean Subs have been fine before because most of them stuck to what we normally did. But today I had subs in 4 of my classes and I nearly wantd to leave because we weren't doing what we always did. Any advice to not get angry at this?
